Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Family Residential Centre

Barnardo's is seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Residential Support Worker at our Family Residential Centre in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced support worker to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to families with complex needs. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for building trust and developing nurturing relationships with service users, promoting their independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Promote, monitor, and maintain a safe environment at all times
Requirements:
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve within required timeframe
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
