Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geoscientist to join our team at Matchtech, a leading geoscience consultancy and survey company. As a Senior Geoscientist, you will play a key role in working on offshore renewable projects, analyzing and integrating multidisciplinary datasets to assess site conditions and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Interpretation: Review, interpret, and report on offshore geophysical and geotechnical data to inform project decisions.
  • Ground Modeling and Hazard Assessment: Develop ground models and conduct geohazard assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Team Leadership and Project Management: Lead small teams, manage projects, and contribute to business development to drive growth and success.
  • Data Acquisition and Processing: Support geodata acquisition and processing, including photogrammetry and LiDAR, to ensure high-quality data delivery.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Earth Sciences or related field.
  • Experience: Strong experience in offshore geophysical and geotechnical data interpretation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Skills: Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS/QGIS) and technical report writing, with a keen attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Geotechnical Parameter Derivation: Experience with geotechnical parameter derivation and software tools like IHS Kingdom.
  • Onshore Survey Experience: Onshore survey experience and proficiency in photogrammetry and bathymetry data processing.
