Cardiology Team Lead

Job Overview
The post holder will lead a team of specialist nurses across Kings Health Partners, providing professional and managerial supervision and leadership to the nursing team. They will undertake clinical responsibilities with ICC patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities
- To act as an autonomous practitioner for clinical decision making, complex patient management, assessment and treatment for patients.
- To provide a Trust wide service that offers advice and support for all patients who require cardiac pedigree tracing, family support and the organising of genetic testing and counselling.
- To forge effective links with other relevant departments and specialists within the Hospital and CCG and wider community groups.
- The post holder will develop new areas of practice with nursing and consultant staff to ensure quality standards are met.
Person Specification
Registered Nurse (Adult), Further relevant professional studies at MSc level, Management or Leadership Qualification, Current UKALS provider, Counselling Qualification.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and/or genetics and excellent leadership and communication skills.
