Job Title: Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Department: Electrical & Computer Engineering Department

About the Position:

The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the general areas of communications, networking, information theory, and federated learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish an active externally funded research program
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical and computer engineering
  • Advise undergraduate and graduate projects
  • Contribute to the operation and promotion of the department, college, university, and the profession

Requirements:

Candidates must hold an earned Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field prior to appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in one or more of the areas of communications, networking, information theory, and federated learning.
