Job Title: Design Technology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Design Technology Specialist to join our team at GSL Education - Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering to students up to A-Level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons in Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they meet the requirements of the curriculum.
• Support students in developing practical skills, including the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment in the workshop.
• Encourage innovation and creative thinking through project-based learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills and understanding.

About the Role:

As a Design Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering a learning environment that encourages students to explore and challenge themselves within the fields of design, materials, and engineering.

Requirements:

• Experience in teaching Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of the department.
