Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Caretaker to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular Health and Safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Performing general caretaking duties, including basic repairs, cleaning, and grounds maintenance
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of tools and equipment to ensure effective service delivery
  • Recording daily work activities and providing timely updates to customers
  • Identifying and reporting potential maintenance issues to maintain a safe environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role is essential
  • Ability to identify and/or carry out minor repairs
  • Understanding of basic health and safety in the workplace
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are key to this role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
