Head of Safeguarding and Pastoral Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as the Head of Safeguarding and Pastoral Support. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our safeguarding and pastoral support efforts and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective management and leadership of statutory safeguarding and pastoral support initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the welfare and support needs of Care Experienced young people are met.
- Lead on Positive Behaviour and Disciplinary within a student support capacity, ensuring Policy and Procedures are followed.
- Manage and deploy budgets and resources effectively to support safeguarding and pastoral initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and report data to inform safeguarding and pastoral support decisions.
- Degree Level Qualification or relevant industrial experience or professional qualification.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Numeracy and literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent).
- Experience of leading Safeguarding arrangements in an Education setting.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable students with unmet safeguarding or pastoral support needs.
- Credibility in assessing and advising safeguarding/pastoral matters and providing effective supervision for safeguarding and pastoral themes.
- Significant experience of managing safeguarding and pastoral risk factors and the provision of effective 'Early Help'.
