Job Title: Asbestos Survey Analyst

GreenSquareAccord is seeking a highly skilled Asbestos Survey Analyst to join our team. As an Asbestos Survey Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our residents and staff by conducting thorough asbestos surveys and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed inspections of social housing properties to identify the presence, location, and condition of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
  • Assess the risk posed by identified ACMs, taking into account their condition, location, and the potential for disturbance.
  • Collect samples of suspected ACMs and ensure they are analysed accurately in a laboratory setting to confirm the presence of asbestos.
  • Compile comprehensive survey reports on TEAMS that detail findings, risk assessments, and recommendations for the management or removal of asbestos.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and guidelines, such as the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on the creation and implementation of asbestos management plans to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to housing managers, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Train and educate housing staff and residents about the dangers of asbestos and safe practices to prevent disturbance.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety protocols to protect yourself, residents, and the general public from asbestos exposure.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices in asbestos management.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a relevant asbestos surveying qualification, such as the BOHS P402 (Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience conducting asbestos surveys, preferably in a social housing context or similar residential settings.
  • Strong understanding of asbestos-related regulations and best practices, particularly the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
  • Ability to identify different types of asbestos-containing materials and understand sampling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough inspection and accurate reporting.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety protocols to protect yourself and others from asbestos exposure.
  • Valid driver's license, as the role often requires traveling between sites.
