We're looking for a skilled Transportation Equipment Specialist to join our team at John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our transportation department, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they're safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly.

Estimated Salary: £38,000 per annum

About the Role

In this role, you'll work closely with our drivers and logistics teams to ensure that our vehicles are properly maintained and equipped for efficient operations. You'll also be responsible for performing routine checks, carrying out repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair commercial vehicles to ensure they're safe and reliable
  • Perform routine checks and inspections to identify potential issues
  • Carry out repairs and replacements as needed
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Vehicle Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial vehicle maintenance
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and transmission systems
