Trafford Leisure is seeking volunteers to assist with course maintenance at Altrincham Golf Course, a beautiful heritage 18-hole golf course. The role involves collecting golf balls from the driving range, cleaning them using a washing machine, and greeting golfers in a friendly environment.

Tasks may include:

  • Collecting golf balls using a hand-held collector
  • Cleaning golf balls
  • Checking golfers' names against the bookings list
  • Taking payments from golfers using a PDQ machine

You will not be expected to operate heavy machinery, provide health advice, administer first aid, or perform tasks you are uncomfortable with.

The benefits of this role include keeping active, feeling part of the community, enjoyment, and opportunities for personal development. Volunteers can choose flexible shifts between 7am and 9pm on weekdays and 7am to 7pm on weekends.

This role requires online and in-person training. Volunteers must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and provide their own suitable clothing and footwear.

Apart from a sense of fulfillment, Trafford Leisure offers a competitive salary of around £8-£10 per hour, depending on experience, as well as the opportunity to work in a welcoming community asset.
