Competent Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Required

Our client, a 40-year-old family-run plastic manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience as an industrial multi-skilled engineer, handling both planned and reactive maintenance. They will be comfortable working on an industrial site and have a strong background in electrical and mechanical faults, particularly with production/manufacturing equipment such as hydraulics, controls/PLC fault finding, pumps, and three-phase motors.

Previous experience with injection molding or plastic manufacturing is preferred. The successful candidate will hold an NVQ level 3 or above in electrical/mechanical engineering and be able to read both electrical and mechanical drawings.

They will be a team player, show ambition to progress their career with this multinational site company, and be willing to further their skill set and complete necessary training to progress through the company's unique grading system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Working with hydraulics, controls, PLCs, pumps, and three-phase motors
  • Assisting with training of junior members/apprentices
  • Progressing through the company's grading system
