Financial Analyst Internship Opportunity

Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Intern to join our Asset Management Analytics and Strategy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cash flow analysis and return-on-investment (ROI) analysis for key projects
  • Collaborate with leaders across the Asset Management Team to drive strategic decision-making
  • Work with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze data essential for financial modeling and strategy implementation
  • Assist in updating financial models for quarterly reports based on actual performance and future expectations
  • Analyze key hotel metrics to identify trends and performance insights
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the hotel and real estate sectors
  • Collect due diligence data on hotel properties and market conditions to inform strategic decisions and negotiations
  • Communicate analysis insights to senior management

Requirements:

  • Rising Senior for a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (engineering, finance, economics, mathematics, etc.)
  • Exceptional academic record (3.7+ GPA) with a demonstrated track record of achievement
  • A career interest in the Real Estate or Hospitality Industry
  • Proficiency in working with complex, Excel-based models
  • Ability to build high-quality, attractive PowerPoint presentations
  • Investigative and analytical curiosity and a desire to succeed
  • Strong analytical skills; detailed-oriented with the capability to gather, organize, and analyze data
