Stop Smoking Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Stop Smoking Advisor to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our health promotion team, you will play a vital role in supporting pregnant women to quit smoking and make healthier lifestyle choices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver time-limited, person-centred smoking cessation support and advice in one-to-one home visits and group settings.
• Work closely with pregnant women to understand their smoking habits and develop personalized quit plans.
• Provide education and support to help women overcome nicotine addiction and make sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for our clients.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in smoking cessation or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of health promotion principles and practices.
