A site investigation specialist is required for a permanent role in one of the UK's largest independent geotechnical engineering and site investigation companies.

Job Overview

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for a skilled geotechnical engineer to join our client's team in Exeter.

This role will involve supervising ground investigations, preparing factual and interpretive reports, logging boreholes, and mentoring junior team members.

The successful candidate will have a valid UK driving license, relevant higher education qualification, and proficiency in using computer software such as Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise ground investigations and ensure high-quality results
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports on site investigations
  • Log boreholes and maintain detailed records
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Relevant higher education qualification (e.g., BSc or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or Geoscience)
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
