We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as a Crisis Clinician in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage children and young people with urgent mental health needs in a timely and effective manner.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Provide education and training to colleagues and other stakeholders on CAMHS best practices and crisis management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to crisis management and CAMHS service delivery.
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. clinical/counselling psychology, psychotherapy, systemic family psychotherapy, social work, nursing, occupational therapy).
- Relevant training or qualification in child and adolescent mental health.
- Relevant training on safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience of working in CAMHS, with a proven track record of working with children, young people, and their families to assess and stabilize during periods of high risk.
- Experience of case load management and working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across organisational boundaries.
- Ability to manage the multiple demands of a complex clinical environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people.
