About Marc Daniels

Marc Daniels is a well-established company based in the UK, seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team for a 1-year contract. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in cash collection, achieving targets, reconciliation, query resolution, reporting, refunds, and reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Bad Debt on your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collection of fees from clients using various collection methods.
  • Follow a set process agreed upon by the Head of Billing & Collections and Managing Director.
  • Reconciling various files and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports to identify clients for collection and optimize cash flow.
  • Keeping systems and master data updated with comments and changes to client information.
  • Deputise when the Credit Control Manager is not available to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Credit Control, working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • IT literate with advanced Word and Excel skills, able to produce Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
  • Experience working on various accounting or bespoke systems, including SAP, Oracle, and internal data management systems.
  • Excellent reconciliation skills with the ability to obtain firm commitments for payment from clients.
  • Client-focused, with the ability to establish and build strong relationships.
  • Experience in raising billing issues with senior staff.
