Domestic Assistant (Bank) - A Key Role in Providing Exceptional Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team at Henderson House Care Home. As a key member of our bank staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our care home.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide thorough domestic cleaning services, adhering to company policies and best practices. This will include maintaining cleanliness, performing hygienic work practices, cleaning and protecting floor surfaces, and maintaining furniture and fixtures to a high standard.

You will also be responsible for cleaning and replenishing sanitary fixtures and fittings, removing refuse regularly, and disposing of it properly. Additionally, you will assist with the daily well-being of residents, helping them settle into their new environment, and manage laundry effectively to meet guidance and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Cleanliness: Provide thorough domestic cleaning services within the care home, adhering to company policies and best practices.
  • Hygienic Work Practices: Perform all cleaning tasks in line with hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Floor Care: Clean and protect a variety of floor surfaces, including carpets and hard floors.
  • Furniture and Fixtures: Clean and maintain furniture, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings to a high standard.
  • Sanitary Maintenance: Clean and replenish sanitary fixtures and fittings, ensuring they are hygienic and well-stocked.
  • Waste Management: Remove refuse regularly and dispose of it properly.
  • Resident Support: Assist with the daily well-being of residents, helping them settle into their new environment.
  • Laundry Services: Manage laundry effectively, ensuring it meets guidance and expectations. Safely handle and label personal belongings.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety protocols, infection prevention, and fire safety regulations within the laundry and wider care environment.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that laundry services and overall cleanliness are maintained effectively.
