Job Summary

Plymouth State University is seeking a Community and Inclusion Director to lead our residential communities and advance our mission and vision. As a key member of our student affairs team, you will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive living environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, responding to and effectively managing student crises, and developing community through innovative educational and social programs.
  • Facilitate student conduct meetings, mediate roommate and community concerns, and refer students to appropriate campus resources.
  • Develop administrative strategies and plans for accomplishing work order tracking, key and access management, room inventory forms, damage billing entry, and overall community management.
  • Supervise and develop student staff, providing direction and training opportunities to ensure departmental and University goals are accomplished.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of recent live-in experience within a residential life/housing program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.
  • Effective planning and goal-setting skills.
  • Aptitude for learning and applying policy, procedures, and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or graduate-level coursework in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • Academic and/or student organization advising experience.
  • Experience integrating residential and academic initiatives.
