About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in plant cell biology, with a focus on root-soil interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate the localisation and transport of candidate root exudate proteins in the cell and endomembrane system.
  • Work closely with the team to understand how these proteins affect soil properties and root-soil interactions.
  • Contribute to the development of research projects and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve research goals.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. plant, cell or molecular biology).
  • Understanding of molecular genetics.
  • Experience using confocal microscopy to visualise and quantify cell morphologies and cellular compartments.
