We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ecologist to join our dynamic Nature team at AECOM. As a key member of our Ecology team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the environment and delivering exceptional ecological services to our clients.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead and support the preparation of high-quality bids and tenders for ecological services, oversee project work, and deliver consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients. You will work closely with our team to develop technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the preparation of high-quality bids and tenders for ecological services.
- Oversee project work, ensuring necessary resources, budgets, and controls are in place to meet programme and budget requirements.
- Deliver high-quality consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients.
- Support the development of technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues.
- Author or technically check project deliverables to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Experience of leading and managing ecological surveys/licensing/impact assessment.
- Experience in work-winning, managing projects, project budgets, and leading stakeholder discussions.
- Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation or in relation to a major habitat type or species.
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership.
- Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including any protected species licenses.
