What You'll Do

As a Skilled Maintenance Technician at CHEP's Birmingham Service Centre, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, supporting site reliability initiatives, and collaborating with colleagues to optimize processes. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting routine maintenance on various equipment types, addressing issues promptly, and minimizing downtime.
  • Supporting the site reliability agenda by identifying potential failure modes, analyzing root causes, and driving corrective actions.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects and sharing best practices within the team.

A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in a related field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, multifaceted engineering) is required, along with industry-specific certifications like the 18th Edition wiring regulations. Our attractive compensation package includes a base salary of £41,062.59, 33% shift allowance, and additional benefits.
