Job Title: Principle Project Installation Manager

Minstrell Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principle Project Installation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of automated material handling equipment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality installation and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of automated material handling equipment, including mechanical installation of structural steel, pallet racking, and ASRS systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with national and local legislation.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of automation equipment and conveyor systems.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of multiple contractors and personnel on site, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, peers, and other project team members.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing complex, multi-million-pound installations, including applying project management methods at this scale.
  • Experience in construction site management for large groups of contractors and personnel.
  • Relevant experience in mechanical installation of structural steel, pallet racking, and/or ASRS systems.
  • Experience in managing the installation and commissioning of automation equipment or conveyor systems.
  • Strong understanding of national and local legislation for construction and engineering compliance and safety.
  • Ability to understand and work with legal teams on legal construction standards and utilizing legal tools to mitigate risk.
