About the Role

Arup is a global leader in offshore wind engineering design, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Offshore Wind Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our offshore wind design team, you will be responsible for delivering project designs for our clients, with a focus on the structural design of offshore wind foundations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver project designs for offshore wind clients, with a focus on structural design of foundations.
  • Develop and implement efficient design processes, including automation and digitalisation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support projects across the UK, Europe, APAC, and the US.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and tools for offshore wind sub-structure design.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and certification companies.

Requirements

  • Qualification in civil/structural/mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in offshore wind industry, preferably in FEED and detailed design of offshore wind turbine sub-structures.
  • Expert knowledge of offshore wind design codes and structural mechanics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptable working approach.
  • Working knowledge of offshore structural analysis packages and coding skills (e.g. Python).
