Public Health Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Engineer to join our national team, specializing in the design of Water Services, Above and Below Ground Drainage, and Fire Suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and monitor work on projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Contribute to the overall design and delivery of projects as a Lead Public Health Engineer, providing technical expertise and guidance.
- Identify opportunities for digital automation and optimization of building systems, interfaces, and component parts, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Monitor the implementation of design throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concepts to site visits, ensuring seamless execution.
- Liaise with UK Building Services teams and Overseas Resourcing Centres to deliver projects across various sectors, fostering collaboration and expertise sharing.
- Manage technical risk, stay aware of our scope of services, and assist in fee proposals and resourcing, ensuring business growth and success.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship to younger Public Health Engineers in your local office, promoting knowledge sharing and career development.
- Be a core influencer of our team's Public Health design skills, systematically reducing risk and improving efficiency in low and net zero carbon design solutions.
- Proactively pursue continuous professional development, working towards chartership with a recognized institution, and promoting the field of Public Health.
To succeed in this role, you must have a solid grounding in engineering principles and an inquisitive nature, with enthusiasm for the built environment.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience in leading and coordinating project delivery, with a focus on Public Health.
- Forward thinking and enthusiasm for digital design innovation and 'smart design' in the construction arena.
- Strong technical knowledge in Public Health and Fire Suppression, including Water Services, Above Ground Drainage, and Rainwater Disposal Systems.
- Proficient in using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, and Revit.
