Mobile Telemetry Engineer - Regional - North

Overtime opportunities (paid time and a half and door to door)

Monday to Friday, 8.00-5pm, 42.5 hours per week

We are seeking a passionate Mobile Telemetry Engineer to join our innovative team driving change in the equipment hire industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology while supporting a fast-paced, customer-focused business.

As a Mobile Telemetry Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing telemetry systems on Speedy's wide range of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, maintenance, and management of telemetry systems on Speedy assets
  • Providing quality service, product, and control mechanism in the Northern Speedy territories
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure seamless adoption and use of telemetry
  • Ongoing quality control of telemetry devices fixed to Speedy assets
  • Developing and maintaining a telemetry installation guide
  • Creating training materials and practical sessions for Speedy engineers
  • Providing telemetry training to others as required
  • Liaising with the team to ensure network availability
  • Developing collaborative relationships across divisions
  • Assisting in developing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Customer-facing activities as required

Requirements:

  • Full driving license
  • Previous experience working with single and three-phase AC electrics (ideally within the hire industry or similar engineering field)
  • Familiarity with 12vdc and 24 vdc electrics fault finding and wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of basic engine communication systems (CAN bus and MOD bus)
  • Proficient computer skills, including use of telemetry platforms
  • Ability to write technical reports
  • Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required
