Job Overview

The successful candidates will be part of our gastroenterology service, working closely with the existing team to deliver high-quality patient care. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in gastrointestinal endoscopy and a passion for teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide expert clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including endoscopic procedures, small bowel imaging, and bowel cancer screening.
  2. To develop and maintain a specialist interest in any area of gastroenterology, including physiology, nutrition, obesity, acute gastroenterology, or other relevant fields.
  3. To participate in undergraduate education, providing clinical teaching and supervision to medical students from Warwick Medical School and Buckingham Medical School.
  4. To engage in academic and research activities, collaborating with biological sciences at Warwick University and exploring opportunities for clinical research and innovation.
  5. To contribute to the management and leadership of the department, aligning with the trust's organisational success and commitment to excellence.
Requirements
  • Gastrointestinal endoscopy expertise
  • Strong interest in undergraduate and postgraduate education
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • CCT or CESR in gastroenterology and general medicine, or within 6 months of achieving CCT
