Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Doncaster Council. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students in the Foundation stage and Key Stage One.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students in the Foundation stage and Key Stage One.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded and engaging education.
  • Provide individualized support to students who require additional help, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a love of learning in all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
Requirements
  • A Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, understanding, and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the achievement of shared goals and objectives.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in education and childcare.
