We are looking for a talented Neuroscience Research Associate to join our team at Economicsnetwork. In this role, you will be responsible for leading analysis of single-cell gene expression and open chromatin profiling data to investigate transcriptional regulation during Drosophila Melanogaster brain development.

You will work closely with experimental collaborators to answer questions in developmental neuroscience, building a map of neuronal development and understanding sex-specific neuronal identity. This involves:

  • Collaborating with researchers to design experiments and collect data.
  • Developing and implementing analytical pipelines to process large datasets.

To be successful in this role, you will require a PhD or MSc in a quantitative discipline such as bioinformatics, computational biology, physics, statistics, engineering, or mathematics. Experience working in a Linux environment and proficiency in Python and R are also essential. A strong track record of publications in reputable journals is desirable, as is experience in analysis of single cell gene expression data. The estimated salary for this position is £45,907 per annum.
