Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

DK Recruitment is working with a global Medical Manufacturer to offer an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Technician a new career opportunity.

- Main Responsibilities:
Electro-mechanical faults are attended to, diagnosed, and repaired in a timely manner to meet production targets. - Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is conducted, and offline machinery and ancillaries are refurbished.
- Manufacturing equipment is set up and produces product according to established Quality Control specifications and standards, maintaining acceptable quality and waste levels.
- Statutory legislation and/or quality system requirements are adhered to with regard to process changes and equipment modification.
- Continual supervision of in-process quality is ensured, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
- Equipment and processes are operated in compliance with Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration with Operational, Engineering, and Quality Control personnel is active, pursuing continuous improvement.
- Equipment is maintained as assigned, and in accordance with requirements detailed on the appropriate schedule/plan or work instruction, minimizing downtime within planned costs for repair and spares.
- Engineering support is provided for the installation and validation of new equipment and technology, ensuring a smooth transfer to production.
- Participation in regular team meetings and project teams as required.
- Accurate and timely entry of data on to SAP.
- Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g. C&G, HND) or a time served apprenticeship.
- Experience in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Experience in maintenance and fault finding.
- Methodical approach, organized, and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air, and pressurized systems.
