Job Description:

DK Recruitment is working with a global Medical Manufacturer to offer an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Technician a new career opportunity.

  1. Main Responsibilities:
    Electro-mechanical faults are attended to, diagnosed, and repaired in a timely manner to meet production targets.
  2. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is conducted, and offline machinery and ancillaries are refurbished.
  3. Manufacturing equipment is set up and produces product according to established Quality Control specifications and standards, maintaining acceptable quality and waste levels.
  4. Statutory legislation and/or quality system requirements are adhered to with regard to process changes and equipment modification.
  5. Continual supervision of in-process quality is ensured, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
  6. Equipment and processes are operated in compliance with Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  7. Collaboration with Operational, Engineering, and Quality Control personnel is active, pursuing continuous improvement.
  8. Equipment is maintained as assigned, and in accordance with requirements detailed on the appropriate schedule/plan or work instruction, minimizing downtime within planned costs for repair and spares.
  9. Engineering support is provided for the installation and validation of new equipment and technology, ensuring a smooth transfer to production.
  10. Participation in regular team meetings and project teams as required.
  11. Accurate and timely entry of data on to SAP.
Requirements:
  1. Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g. C&G, HND) or a time served apprenticeship.
  2. Experience in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment is desirable.
  3. Experience in maintenance and fault finding.
  4. Methodical approach, organized, and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air, and pressurized systems.
