BEMS Consultant

We are seeking a skilled BEMS Consultant to join our team at JLB Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing professional BEMS & System Consultancy services to clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our current team with various projects, from conceptual discussions to feasibility studies, scheme design, and tender management. You will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met, and provide excellent support throughout the project lifecycle.

A strong commercial background in the building services industry is essential, with experience in installation and testing of control systems and Control system commissioning. Project management skills are also crucial, as well as a good understanding of Controls, BMS / iBMS/ Smart Buildings technologies.

You will be expected to communicate effectively with senior managers, directors, architects, M&E contractors, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail are necessary for this role.

• Conducting System Condition surveys, producing reports, and recommendations for clients.
• Completion of Feasibility Studies, Energy Management Surveys, Specification reviews, and evaluation.
• Providing Application advice to clients.
• Production of Concept / Scheme designs, performance specifications, and detailed design development.
• Engaged in Tender Management and Tender Vetting on behalf of the client.
• Production of Cost/Bid analysis.
• Project Management on behalf of the client, including project progress reporting and Contract Administration as applicable.
• Responsible for Commissioning Management and Snagging on behalf of the client.
• Conduct system witness testing and reporting. Attendance at BMS FAT's and SAT's.
• Production of case studies.
• Review/updating of building energy log books.
• Client systems training.
• Maintain your personal Continuous Professional Development (CPD); sharing knowledge internally with colleagues and externally with clients.
• Capture all activity in our customer relationship management (CRM) tool to ensure collaboration and continuity of efforts across the team.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Commercial experience in building services industry (consultancy or contractor) to include installation and testing of control systems and Control system commissioning.
• Project Management.
• Strong technical appreciation and interest in Controls, BMS / iBMS/ Smart Buildings technologies.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at Senior Manager / Director level, architects, M&E contractors, and others.
• Tact and persuasive ability.
• Team-working skills.
• IT skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivation.
• Possession of relevant qualifications, such as HNC related engineering (electrical / mechanical), Degree in building services engineering or electrical engineering (desirable).
