Occupational Health Advisor Role

The Occupational Health Advisor role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised individual to join our team at Drs Ltd, supporting clients to achieve their statutory duties to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of people at work.

We're looking for a reliable and motivated professional with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who is committed to ongoing professional development, has the ability to analyse & interpret data and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of the business and clients.

The successful applicant will be a self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. They will be comfortable troubleshooting and problem-solving and have a passion for supporting the success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct workplace assessments to identify potential health risks
  • Report on health risks and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Perform routine health surveillance to monitor employee health
  • Conduct pre-placement screenings to ensure employees are fit for work
  • Carry out fitness-for-work assessments to determine employee ability to perform job duties
  • Manage health records, ensuring safe storage, security and confidentiality of OH records, at all times complying with relevant legislation and good practice
  • Work to strict protocols & procedures set by Drs Ltd and in line with SEQOHS accreditation
Requirements:
  • RGN/RMN with prior Occupational Health Advisor experience
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Desirable: Occupational Health qualification; relevant experience considered
  • Proactive, friendly, and professional individuals with workload management confidence
  • Contribute towards safe working practices across the OH Delivery team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute ideas and suggestions for improvements in order to achieve more effective working practices
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages, and comfortable in use of OH software
