Job Title: Specialist Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and progressive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with hand injuries and conditions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outpatient rehabilitative care and participating in Hand Fracture clinics across both County and Royal Stoke sites. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with the experienced Hand team, providing expert care and support to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality outpatient rehabilitative care to patients with hand injuries and conditions
  • Participate in Hand Fracture clinics, working closely with the Hand team to provide expert care and support
  • Supervise and support junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and patient-centered care
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Minimum of 18 months post-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Experience of audits, supporting/supervising staff, and working in a hands setting
  • Trained clinical educator
