About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Two Saints. As a key member of our Housing First team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness to achieve stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: You will work one-to-one with clients to identify their needs and develop personalized support plans. This will involve building strong relationships, listening actively, and providing guidance and support to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Community Outreach: You will work with outreach workers to engage with clients who are homeless and provide support to help them access accommodation and services.
  • Benefits and Tenancy Support: You will assist clients in accessing benefits and tenancy support, including helping them to manage their finances and maintain their accommodation.
  • Health and Wellbeing: You will support clients to access healthcare services and provide guidance on healthy living and wellbeing.
  • Education and Employment: You will work with clients to identify their strengths and talents and support them to access education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Case Management: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and provide regular updates to the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults, particularly those who are experiencing homelessness. You will have a strong understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness and the importance of providing person-centered support.
  • Skills: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Qualifications: You will have a relevant qualification in social care or a related field, such as a diploma or degree in social work, youth work, or a related subject.
  • Driving License: You will hold a full driving license and have access to a car, as you will be required to travel to meet clients in their homes and in the community.
