About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Wandsworth, Inner London.

The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students to explore their creativity and develop essential design and technological skills. This position offers the chance to foster innovation problem-solving and a passion for design within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Job Description:

  • Deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational vision across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Cultivate students' practical skills and theoretical understanding in areas such as product design, electronics, textiles, and food technology.
  • Create a stimulating and well-equipped learning environment that encourages experimentation and hands-on learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Design and Technology department and across the school to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level.
