About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Herts & Essex High School, Bishops Stopford, CM23. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for assisting the onsite Chef Manager with the preparation of main meals and snacks for the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the onsite Chef Manager with meal preparation and service
  • Working with fresh seasonal ingredients to cook for a volume of 200+ students
  • May include counter service and till work
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen and restaurant area at all times

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and a commitment to providing high-quality food. You'll also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a clean and safe working environment. A trade test will be required for this role, and you'll need to undergo an enhanced DBS check, which we'll cover the cost of.
