Financial Officer

ExtraCare Charitable Trust is seeking a skilled Financial Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Income Management Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with local authorities to verify benefits entitlements
  • Maintain and update housing benefits awards, impacting residents' rent
  • Take proactive measures to prevent arrears and recover debts owed to the Trust
  • Set up and maintain residents' records, utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • Collect outstanding arrears and provide guidance on rent arrears
  • Liaise with residents, applicants, and representatives regarding income management
  • Establish sustainable repayment arrangements to maximize income and recover debt
Requirements:
  • Experience in account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping
  • AAT qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, IT, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and the MS Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
