About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with Autism to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to deliver high-quality education and care, and will be responsible for preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and providing emotional and physical support to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with Autism in the classroom, providing individualized attention and care
  • Prepare and deliver learning materials, including lesson plans and activities
  • Run classroom activities and outdoor experiences, promoting social and emotional development
  • Provide emotional and physical support to students, including managing challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of GCSE Grade C in English and Maths
  • Experience working with students with Autism or other special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
