SEN Teaching Support Professional

A dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant is required to support children with Special Educational Needs in a Primary School setting. This role involves working closely with teachers to develop individualized learning plans and provide tailored support to students.
About the Role
This teaching assistant position requires an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and be able to adapt their approach to meet the diverse needs of students. The successful applicant will work closely with the class teacher to deliver lessons, assist with classroom management, and contribute to creating a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students' needs
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification and have experience working with children who have ALN. They must also be able to inspire confidence in students and be willing to go above and beyond to support their needs. In addition, they should be able to work effectively as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, dependent on experience. You will also receive a 100 joining bonus after working 10 days and a 250 recommend a friend scheme once someone you recommended has worked 20 days. Furthermore, we provide safeguarding training, holiday pay, guidance through your assignments, help with your CV and interview techniques, and a clean DBS check.
