Engineering Manager

A leading Worcestershire-based company, renowned for manufacturing engineered products for the automotive and transportation sectors, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to drive growth and innovation. This forward-thinking organization is committed to delivering high-quality products and assemblies to a diverse range of customers.

• Oversee the Production Engineering and Design Departments, ensuring effective application of technical disciplines and governance.
• Participate in project management, product realization, and manufacture, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
• Lead Design Reviews, promoting adherence to design and regulatory requirements, and ensuring these are embedded into manufacturing processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers during engineering phases, managing engineering drawings, BOMs, delivery schedules, and customer specifications.

• HNC/HND/degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• Membership of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., IMechE, IET).
• Current experience in a similar position, industry, and engineering environment.
• Strong background in document and data control, quality awareness, and customer-focused environments.
• Excellent IT skills, data entry, and attention to detail.
• Experience in supporting capital expenditure, investment programs, and lean principles.
• Planning experience, NPI, and product life cycle management.
• Knowledge of industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Rail, and application of Def-Stan/Mil-Std and RIS.
