Job Description:
AECOM is seeking a Head of Environment and Sustainability to lead our technical director position in Environment and Sustainability. This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong track record in environmental impact assessment, management, and compliance. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, developing and implementing strategies, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental inputs across various infrastructure projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify opportunities for sustainable infrastructure development
  • Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and client relationship management

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in environmental impact assessment and management, with a strong understanding of EIA processes and consenting regimes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Degree in a relevant environmental discipline, preferably with a Masters degree
  • Professional membership, such as Chartered Environmentalist status
