About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Safety Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a small team in developing a functional Safety Case, managing the production of a Safety Case to a defined schedule, and undertaking complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team in developing a functional Safety Case
  • Manage the production of a Safety Case to a defined schedule
  • Undertake complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis
  • Produce written function safety justifications
  • Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both external and internal to the business
Requirements
  • STEM Degree or relevant experience
  • Leading a small team
  • Delivering functional Safety Cases
  • Complex safety analysis and justification
Desirable Skills
  • Previous submarine experience
  • Particularly Vehicle Control
  • Complex Control Systems
