Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Specialist Lead to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in medical equipment management and training to take on a leadership role within our department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the medical equipment training, equipment library, and MEMS reception functions within the Centre, as well as developing and leading medical equipment training and equipment library services across the trust.
Key Responsibilities- Acting as lead medical equipment trainer and developing and leading medical equipment training within the trust.
- Developing and leading the equipment library service and negotiating for resources to enhance and expand the equipment library.
- Managing staff and the day-to-day operations of the Medical Equipment Resource Centre (MET/MEL/Reception).
- Ensuring effective and timely advertising for all training initiatives to their target audience, using a variety of media.
- Coordinating and monitoring the medical equipment training provided by outside bodies, such as medical device manufacturing companies.
- A relevant NVQ 4 or diploma, including Maths, English, and a science.
- GCSE A-C grade in Maths and English, or equivalent qualification or supervised experience.
- ECDL or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a general office environment, supervising staff, and administrative and clerical work.
- Advanced experience on Microsoft Office packages.
As a Medical Equipment Specialist Lead at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you can expect a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
