Nxtgen Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing and Payment Manager to join their team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the company's Purchase-to-Pay processes and ensuring compliance with SOX controls and bank mandates.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves managing urgent same-day payments and salary advances, overseeing the review and processing of expenses and corporate credit card returns via Concur, and handling Purchase-to-Pay (P-2-P) responsibilities for subsidiaries, including bank reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 4 in GCSE Maths or equivalent and experience working in a busy office environment. Previous experience in a purchase ledger role is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage urgent same-day payments and salary advances as needed
  • Oversee the review and processing of expenses and corporate credit card returns via Concur
  • Handle Purchase-to-Pay (P-2-P) responsibilities for subsidiaries, including bank reconciliations
  • Assist in validating and processing all group company payment runs through online banking while adhering to SOX controls and bank mandates
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Grade 4 in GCSE Maths or equivalent
  • AAT qualification or equivalent by experience
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role

The estimated annual salary for this position is around £35,000 - £40,000 depending on location and experience.
