Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the assessment and management of complex cases, working closely with other team members to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff, promoting evidence-based practice and excellence in patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services, ensuring that they are responsive to the needs of our patients and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Experience in psychiatric medicine, with a strong background in clinical leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
