About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in Crewe. As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide financial support to the Finance Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales ledger, including setting up customer accounts, producing sales ledger invoices, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the Finance Manager with credit control, including chasing outstanding payments and resolving any issues.
  • Process purchase ledger transactions, including inputting invoices and making supplier payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and customer and supplier reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with payroll processing and provide support to the Finance Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SAGE accounting software would be an advantage.
  • Payroll experience would be beneficial.
  • AAT part or qualified would be desirable.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel.
