Associate Building Surveyor Opportunity

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Associate Building Surveyor to join a leading professional service and investment management firm specializing in real estate across 80 countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver large portfolios of Reinstatement Cost Assessments
  • Conduct Building Surveyor's inspections and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Prepare specifications for and administer repair and refurbishment contracts
  • Negotiate schedules of dilapidations and prepare exit strategies
  • Develop planned preventative maintenance plans
  • Undertake building reinstatement cost assessments
  • Assist with coordination of portfolio instructions and undertake other duties as required
  • Maintain sustainable business relationships with clients and provide exceptional client service
  • Contribute to business development and direct client contact at a senior level
Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Enthusiasm, proactivity, and self-motivation
  • Strong verbal and numerical skills, with proficiency in report writing
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Well-presented and excellent communication skills
  • MRICS (building surveying) with proven experience, preferably PQE in a commercial consultancy
  • Experience with AutoCAD is an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Salary from £55,000 to £70,000 dependent on experience, plus package and benefits
