Wildlife Hospital Opportunity

The Wildlife Aid Foundation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our wildlife hospital, you will play a crucial role in the admission, triage, and treatment of injured, orphaned, and sick wildlife.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and triage to new admissions, ensuring the well-being of our patients.
  • Assist our veterinarians with surgeries, monitoring anaesthetics and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the treatment room.
  • Administer medications to patients and manage stock control of drugs and veterinary supplies effectively.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate and up-to-date protocols, training manuals, and guides.
  • Assist with daily patient checks, promoting efficient patient flow through the hospital.
  • Support the ongoing training of other staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements:

  • RCVS Registered qualification in Veterinary Nursing
  • Veterinary experience, preferably in a wildlife setting
  • Laboratory experience, an asset
