Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. The successful candidate will have experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and will be able to provide high-quality support to a student at a primary school in Basildon, Essex.

The role involves providing 1:1 support to a child with ASD, enhancing their communication, speech, and learning skills in a patient and supportive manner. You will also engage with the child during unstructured times, developing creative activities that build social skills and confidence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD, guiding them through their school day.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the child's communication, speech, and learning skills.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the child receives comprehensive support.
  • Engage with the child during breaks and lunchtimes, promoting social skills and confidence.
