Unlock Your Potential as a Group Financial Accountant

We're seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract as maternity cover for 18 months. As a key member of our Group Finance team, you'll play a crucial role in our fast-paced business, reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting.

About the Role

As a Group Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for preparing the PLC consolidated financial statements, ensuring IFRS compliance. You'll also conduct cashflow modelling, draft board papers for the audit committee, and serve as the main contact for external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the group consolidation process and prepare Group consolidated financial statements
  • Conduct cashflow modelling and draft board papers for the audit committee
  • Serve as the main contact for external auditors
  • Prepare consolidated monthly board packs, including balance sheet and cashflow analysis
  • Draft group accounting policies related to new and amended standards
  • Engage in ad hoc project work to support the business

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of two years PQE
  • Strong understanding of IFRS standards; experience with auditing or preparing statutory accounts is desirable
  • Practical experience or strong understanding of group consolidations
  • Analytical with high attention to detail and strong Excel skills
  • Clear communicator, able to present complex data understandably
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
