Job Title: Interim Senior Commissioning Officer

Finegreen is currently supporting the interim appointment of a senior healthcare estates officer to work within the capital projects team within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain the 5-year investment plan for the estate, providing assistance to the Head of Estates with national returns and maintaining up-to-date drawing files.
  2. Coordinate building, mechanical, and electrical responses and commissioning for all capital projects, and act as an authorized person for at least two building/mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  3. Work as part of an active operational estates service, supporting colleagues to deliver a seamless service across the Trust geographical area.
  4. Assist with the full range of duties in the implementation of building and engineering works as part of the Trust's Capital Programme.
  5. Prepare designs for major capital works in accordance with NHS Health Technical Memorandum (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBNs), British Standards, and current legislation.
  6. Take the Building/M&E technical lead on identified issues related to the management of Estates, Building, and Engineering works, providing accurate up-to-date advice as required.
  7. Ensure a seamless transfer of completed projects to the Estates operational team to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  8. Maintain a close and effective working relationship with the Estates Team to achieve an effective and integrated Estates service.
Requirements:
  1. Specialist Building/Mechanical & Electrical knowledge including legislation to degree level or equivalent work experience.
  2. Proven record of postgraduate knowledge plus experience or continuous professional development in specialist areas of Estate Management.
  3. Acting as an Authorized Person in a building/electrical or mechanical position.
  4. Good organizational, management, and project management skills, including team leadership.
  5. Highly developed specialist knowledge and understanding across all aspects of healthcare design and technology, including technical knowledge of estate maintenance.
